| Shunned from the World ABOVE
€ 5007
€ As a child, I was always told stories of our banishment. We were all shunned from the surface, and forced to live in a completely different and difficult atmosphere. The air here is thick, almost suffocating, and there is no light. We have all evolved, adapting to these changes, but with many consequences. Many of our kind have died, but we are many generations passed and are used to this separate world of ours. € There are tunnels leading from our world and to the next, but they are dangerously forbidden. Few have tried to escape from our society using the tunnels, but are captured by the Zar’roc guards, and returned back to their homes. Those that are fortunate to escape, never come back to tell their story. Those that were captured by the guards come back, completely different than what they were; some turn insane, while others become extremely discreet. The ones cursed with insanity never look at anyone, passing by in our world murmuring to themselves and shouting towards the sky. The quiet ones always stay in their homes, never coming out until they are erased from existence.
€ We all hear about the world above. We are told stories of it in our sleeps. Our leader’s voice interrupts our dreams and tell us how dreadful the place is. How much we would hate to live there.
" Filled with hate, thievery, and betrayal. Those are the only three laws they abide to. Our world is so much better. We are all friends. They are all enemies. You are safe here in Zar’roc. "
€ He repeats those words in our ears for a month, and when the month’s over, he changes them. He persuades us that we shouldn’t leave our society, but yet, there are people who have their own mind, and seek out to leave.
" Why would you want to leave? Zar’roc offers you everything. The World Above has nothing. If you choose to leave, you choose death. "
